Future Developments

There are a number of planning factors that determine the shape of growth in Bendigo over the next 20 years. There is currently a lack of land currently zoned residential which can be developed in the short term. The residential strategy embodied in the current planning scheme provides for a number of new development areas to be rezoned to residential to cater for the significant proportion of the future growth of Bendigo over time. The Evergreen Precinct at Jackass Flat will be the first of these.

Birchgrove Property has a range of land holdings which will be rezoned over time to provide for future growth and cater for the difficult balance between best practice design and housing affordability, particularly for first home buyers. We are currently progressing planning proposals on sites in both established residential areas and new development areas. In 2012 we will be marketing the final three stages of Evergreen Links in Bendigo, the final two stages of Silky Oak Estate in Wodonga and also launching Stage 2 of Marong Estate located in the heart of Marong. We will also be completing the marketing of Stage 3 of Willowbank Estate in Strathfieldsaye.
